Reflecting on 2024: A Year of Empowerment and Innovation at Strong Stripes

As 2024 comes to a close, we’re reflecting on an incredible year at Strong Stripes. From recognizing outstanding students to making a tangible difference in our community, this year has been full of milestones that inspire us to keep pushing for a brighter future.

This year, we had the honor of recognizing 11 incredible students with STEM awards, including 3 winners and 9 runners-up. Their dedication and passion for STEM inspire us every day. To celebrate their achievements, we held an online event where we came together to applaud their hard work and future potential. Award winners received a new computer and swag boxes.

One of our winners, Taliha, shared:"This award truly means so much to me, and it was an honor to have been the recipient of such a prestigious prize."
Another winner, Cindy, said:"I received my prize package a while back and loved it!"

Their words remind us why we do what we do—empowering young minds to pursue their dreams.

In 2024, we also made a significant impact on families across the country by donating over $10,900 worth of toys. This initiative allowed us to support and bring joy to 500+ families, showing the power of community and kindness during challenging times.

We’re thrilled to share that our team has been hard at work on a new website aimed at empowering kids and teens with disabilities to learn how to code. This project represents our mission to make technology accessible and exciting for everyone. Stay tuned for more details in 2025!

In 2024, Strong Stripes was proud to receive the Pass It On award from AnitaB.org and the Impact award from the National Center for Women in Information Technology. These recognitions reaffirm our commitment to fostering inclusion and innovation in STEM.
